Clinical - Found Nursing Pract
(4-0-12)A health-related work-based learning
experience that enables the student to apply
specialized occupational theory, skills, and
concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the
clinical professional (faculty or preceptor),
generally in a clinical setting. A method of
instruction providing detailed education,
training, and work based experience and direct
patient/client care, generally at a clinical
site. Specific detailed learning objectives are
developed for each course by the faculty. Onsite
clinical instruction, supervision, evaluation,
and placement is the responsible of the college
faculty. Clinical experiences are unpaid external
learning experiencs. Focus is on holistic human
needs. Associate Degree nurse role assimilation
is facilitated through the development of
identified major concepts. Enrollment requires
acceptance into the Nursing Program.
Required Prerequisites: CHEM-1406, BIOL-2401,
BIOL-2402, BIOL-2420 and TSI Compliant in
Required Co-Requisites: RNSG-1105 and RNSG-1413
